In the early 1860s widow Anna Leonowens (Deborah Kerr) and her son Louis travel to Bangkok where Anna is to become live-in governess to the many children of the King of Siam (Yul Brynner). At first Anna is shocked by the Kings many wives but soon becomes attached to the children but decides to leave the country after witnessing incidents she found barbaric. But maybe she can influence change! This musical is the winner of 5 Academy Awards and is a must see for all fans of the genre.
