When Hildy Johnson (Rosalind Russell) announces to her ex-husband and boss, Walter Burns (Cary Grant) she is quitting her job as his star reporter and getting married to an insurance salesman he is far from happy. He thinks he knows her better than she knows herself and that she isnt cut out to be a suburban housewife. The other problem is that Walter is still in love with Hildy, so he uses all his cunning to prevent the wedding by offering her 1 last assignment she cant refuse.
