A surprise is in store for GW McLintock (John Wayne) when his estranged wife (Maureen OHara) arrives home along with his daughter Becky (Stephanie Power) following her college graduation. While the wealthy rancher devotes a lot of time an energy working to keep landowners, settlers, politicians and Native Americans happy he struggles to understand the women in his life with often hilarious results.
